2. Our Services
Geelong Taxi Service provides transport services including local taxis, airport transfers, corporate transport, long-distance travel, and special event transfers. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue services without prior notice.
3. Bookings
- Bookings can be made via our website, phone, email, or booking form.
- You are responsible for providing accurate information including pick-up/drop-off locations, date and time, and passenger count.
- We recommend booking in advance, especially for airport transfers or peak periods.
- Booking confirmation is subject to availability.
4. Pricing and Payments
- Fare estimates provided are indicative and subject to actual trip details, traffic, tolls, and waiting times.
- Some services may require prepayment or a deposit, which is processed via a secure payment gateway.
- Prices may vary depending on vehicle type, time of day, or special requests.
5. Cancellations & No-Shows
- Cancellations must be made at least 2 hours before the scheduled pickup to avoid fees.
- No-shows or late cancellations may incur a cancellation fee equivalent to a portion or full fare.
- If a driver has already been dispatched, a service fee may apply.
6. Delays & Force Majeure
While we strive for punctuality, Geelong Taxi Service is not liable for delays due to traffic, weather, mechanical issues, or other events beyond our control. We will do our best to inform you of any disruptions in advance.
7. Passenger Conduct
- Passengers must behave respectfully and comply with driver instructions.
- Smoking, alcohol consumption, or abusive behavior is strictly prohibited.
- We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual who poses a risk to safety or comfort.
8. Luggage & Personal Belongings
- We accept reasonable luggage; however, large or excessive items must be declared during booking.
- Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings. Geelong Taxi Service is not liable for lost or stolen items but will assist in locating them if reported promptly.
9. Children, Child Restraints and Special Needs
In Victoria, child restraint requirements for taxis differ from those for private vehicles:
- Children under 1 year old: Must travel in the back seat, but are not required to use a child restraint. They may be held on the lap of an accompanying adult.
- Children aged 1 year and over: Must occupy their own seating position in the back seat and wear a properly fastened seatbelt if no suitable child restraint or booster seat is available in the taxi.
- Taxi drivers are not required to provide child restraints or booster seats. However, taxis must have at least one anchorage point for passengers who wish to bring and install their own child restraint.
- For optimal safety, we recommend that passengers bring their own child restraint or booster seat when travelling with young children.
- Passengers with mobility needs should notify us in advance to arrange suitable vehicles.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Geelong Taxi Service is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage resulting from your use of our services, including missed flights, events, or appointments.
